Can I get a subsidy for a charger now?
Not at the moment. The Lithuanian Energy Agency states there are no open calls for private charging points (the last ones closed on 30 September 2025), and APVA calls for public charging accepted applications until 16 March 2026. New calls are planned — see above. Checked on 31 October 2026.
How much did the previous programme pay?
The 2022–2025 LEA programme (EU “Next Generation Lithuania” funds) paid a share of a fixed rate: up to 40% for a private house charger up to 11 kW (about €530–680 per point), up to 80% for housing associations and administrators, up to 50% for workplaces. Only new AC chargers were funded, the rates were excl. VAT, and the charger had to be kept for 5 years.
Is a power upgrade covered?
It was not: “Galios didinimas nefinansuojamas” (LEA FAQ). Power upgrades are handled by ESO through its self-service. We will tell you whether your current power is enough or whether a charger with load management is the better choice.
Should I buy now or wait for a subsidy?
No general new programme for residents has been announced — the support planned for 2027 is only for vulnerable households. For companies an APVA call is planned, and state aid rules often require that works start only after the application is submitted. If you plan to apply, talk to us before buying — we will check that the purchase does not rule out support.
How do you help with the application?
We check whether your case meets the conditions, pick a charger that meets the requirements, prepare the quote, VAT invoice and manufacturer’s technical specification, and help you fill in the application and collect the attachments. You submit it yourself; the agency decides and pays.
What chargers did the programme require?
In the LEA programme — only new AC chargers; outdoors at least IP54, ground-mounted at least IK08; for associations and companies — OCPP 1.6 or newer and dynamic load management. A new call may set different requirements — we will tell you which Simon charger meets them.
